IBUS-TD ultrasonic testing
The IBUS-TD testing is a comparative examination of actual and artificial flaws from a reference hole situated perpendicularly or radially to the plate or pipe. Special angled probes are used to carry out ultrasonic testing of welds ranging from 2mm to 8mm in thickness, and can be applied on flat elements or pipes. DAC curves are prepared to compare the actual flaw to the reference hole. This testing eliminates limitations imposed by standard probes. All operations are performed according to the Polish norm PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025.
