PHASES ARRAY PA ultrasonic testing
This testing is used for specialized measurements performed to detect and qualify cracks, dissections and erosion damages in elements with complicated shapes. The Phased Array (PA) method utilizes multi-transducer ultrasonic probes. PA probes are composed of multiple transducers, each capable of independently generating and receiving ultrasonic waves. This allows the probe to form the wave beam by, for example, focusing it on a given depth of the inspected element or tilting the wave by a certain degree. The PA method enables inspection elements of complicated shapes, inspection of welds, ruptures and dissections as well as corrosion mapping.
